The premise of Transmission, explained
Transmission centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Cheng Yue, a boy who loves cosplay and cross-dressing, faces life-changing choices about identity, love, and family when a single decision—posing as a girl to meet his sister Jin Yao’s fiancé Mu Jianfeng—sparks a chain of events that reshapes his future.
Rather than rushing, the series lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. Themes of ambition, loyalty, and consequence run throughout. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
