The premise of Ice, explained
Ice centers on a premise that unfolds like this: After the whole North of the Equator freezes below zero, a group of people in Los Angeles risk their lives while trying to "escape" from the city's hostile conditions, in order to take a ship to a hotter place on Earth.
What sets it apart is how it treats its action, adventure, and tv movie elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "The ultimate disaster... The world is covered in ice" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
