The 100

At its core, The 100 follows a story that unfolds like this: 100 years in the future, when the Earth has been abandoned due to radioactivity, the last surviving humans live on an ark orbiting the planet — but the ark won't last forever. So the repressive regime picks 100 expendable juvenile delinquents to send down to Earth to see if the planet is still habitable.

What sets it apart is how it treats its sci-fi & fantasy, action & adventure, drama, and crime elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Survival isn't who you are. It's who you become." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.

The 100 currently holds a 7.9/10 audience score based on 8,810 ratings, a strong mark that reflects how strongly it connects with its target audience. For a fuller picture, cross-reference scores on IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic before deciding.
