Jesus & Josefine plot and story overview
Jesus & Josefine centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Josefine’s birthday is on Christmas Eve, and she’s getting pretty tired of that. She decides to move Christmas and gets help from a magical nativity scene that sends her back to the time when Jesus was her own age. She becomes friends with Jesus, but a whole series of questions now arise: What about her classmate Oskar, who wants to be more than friends? And who is the mysterious Thorsen, the owner of the time machine?
What sets it apart is how it treats its kids, family, and sci-fi & fantasy elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "The time machine is set, the countdown has begun" — captures that tone perfectly.
