The premise of Village of the Damned, explained
Village of the Damned centers on a premise that unfolds like this: In a small English village everyone suddenly falls unconscious. When they awake every woman of child bearing age is pregnant. The resulting children have the same strange blond hair, eyes and a strong connection to each other.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "What Demonic Force Lurks Behind Those Eyes?" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
