Troll 2

Troll 2 centers on a premise that unfolds like this: When young Joshua learns that he will be going on vacation with his family to a small town called Nilbog, he protests adamantly. He is warned by the spirit of his deceased grandfather that goblins populate the town. His parents, Michael and Diana, dismiss his apprehensions, but soon learn to appreciate their son's warnings. Guided by his grandfather's ghost, will Joshua and his family stand a chance in fighting off these evil beings?

The pacing rewards patient viewers, layering small details that pay off later. The tagline — "The Original Boogeyman is Back." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.

Troll 2 is anchored by Michael Stephenson, George Hardy, Margo Prey, and Connie Young, working under the direction of Claudio Fragasso. Each performance brings a different texture to the film.
