What is The Skin about?
The Skin centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Based on the memoirs of author Curzio Malaparte, diplomatic liaison between the Allied and Italian forces after the defeat of the Nazis in Italy, The Skin follows the collapse of Italian society under the US occupation and the desperate measures required for survival.
What sets it apart is how it treats its drama, war, and history elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "The skin moves the world!" — captures that tone perfectly.
