What is The Size of Watermelons about?
The Size of Watermelons centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Slacker art student Alex is suddenly inspired to make a documentary about his friend Gnome's campaign to "free Hawaii." While putting together a motley film crew and unexpectedly stumbling across the girl of his dreams, Maggie, he discovers that Gnome, along with the film's funding are nowhere to be found.
The pacing rewards patient viewers, layering small details that pay off later. The tagline — "Alex is the definition of loser. He has no, nor has he ever had, friends.
