Inside the story of The Rig
At its core, The Rig follows a story that unfolds like this: In the midst of a tropical storm, the crew of an offshore oil rig must survive the rampage of a creature after invading its undersea habitat.
What sets it apart is how it treats its action, horror, science fiction, and thriller elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Some things shouldn't be disturbed." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
