Directed by Julián Hernández, the project blends drama into something that lingers long after the credits. Keep scrolling for a spoiler-light synopsis, performance highlights, and streaming details.
What is The Day Began Yesterday about?
At its core, The Day Began Yesterday follows a story that unfolds like this: Orlando and Saul meet by accident. The first one is a self-confident young man, university gymnast who avoids that his HIV-positive status defines him; while Saul, on the opposite, is insecure and barely understands what having an active sexual life means. The meeting will result in a new way of seeing life, one without fear where sex is an encounter and not a way of getting away from others.
What sets it apart is how it treats its drama elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. Themes of ambition, loyalty, and consequence run throughout. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
