Inside the story of The Cutting Edge
The Cutting Edge centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Two former Olympians, one a figure skater and the other a hockey player, pin their hopes of one last shot at Olympic glory on one another. That is, of course, if they can keep from killing each other in the process...
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "The ultimate love/skate relationship." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
