The premise of The Big Gay Musical, explained
The Big Gay Musical centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Paul and Eddie have just begun previews for the new Off-Broadway musical "Adam and Steve - Just the Way God Made 'Em." Their lives strangely mirror the characters they are playing. Paul is looking for the perfect man and Eddie is dealing with how his sexuality and faith can mix.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "Just the way God made ‘em!" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
