The premise of Suckers, explained
The narrative of Suckers unfolds like this: When five teenage girls in the mid-1980s spend a summer night trying a mysterious new strain of hallucinogenic lollipops, they soon discover that these "suckers" come with a deadly price. As the drug's effects set in, the group's bond is tested by bloody twists that no amount of hairspray could fix.
What sets it apart is how it treats its horror, comedy, and thriller elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Just girl things." — captures that tone perfectly.
