Stranded: I've Come from a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains plot and story overview
At its core, Stranded: I've Come from a Plane That Crashed on the Mountains follows a story that unfolds like this: The story, told by the survivors, of a group of young men, members of a Uruguayan rugby team, who managed to survive for 72 days, at an altitude of almost 4,000 meters, in the heart of the Andes Mountains, after their plane, en route to Chile, crashed there on October 13, 1972.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "The Andes crash survivors in their own words" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
