The premise of Spooks, explained
Spooks centers on a premise that unfolds like this: The mysterious masked Phantom sets his sights on Oswald's gal, a struggling opera singer. When jealousy sparks in his sunken eyes, the Phantom steals her away, leading Oswald on a rescue mission.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "What does a chicken say when it lays a square egg?" — captures that tone perfectly.
