Sijjin

The narrative of Sijjin unfolds like this: Öznur is a young and beautiful woman. She has had a platonic love since childhood to Kudret, who is her cousin. Kudret, however, is married to a woman named Nisa and is very happy. Jealous, Öznur uses terrible black magic to change this so that she and Kudret will be together. However, she is not prepared for the evil that this spell unleashes.

The pacing rewards patient viewers, layering small details that pay off later. The tagline — "Magic is a sin." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.

Sijjin is anchored by Pınar Çağlar Gençtürk, Koray Şahinbaş, Ebru Kaymakçı, and Merve Ateş, working under the direction of Alper Mestçi. The chemistry between the leads is one of the production's quiet strengths.

The script comes from Ersan Özer, whose writing keeps the dialogue sharp. You can trace the full credits and filmographies on IMDb and TMDB.
