If Reverie is on your watchlist, here is the complete breakdown — plot, cast, ratings, and where to stream it in HD. Led by Willem Jewell and Percy Ziolkowski, the film balances spectacle with character. Below you'll find an honest look at the story, the people behind it, and whether it deserves a spot in your queue.
Reverie plot and story overview
At its core, Reverie follows a story that unfolds like this: Joe is a lonely writer who longs to be the hero of his own story. When it becomes increasingly clear that that’s not the case, he finds himself retreating to a place where he can have anything he dreams of; fame, love, even superpowers. When his real life becomes too much to bear, Joe must reconcile his imagination with reality, before he loses his grip on it.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "From the Imagination of Alex Adam" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
