Please Don't Eat the Daisies

At its core, Please Don't Eat the Daisies follows a story that unfolds like this: Drama critic Larry Mackay, his wife Kate and their four sons move from their crowded Manhattan apartment to an old house in the country. While housewife Kate settles into suburban life, Larry continues to enjoy the theater and party scene of New York.

What sets it apart is how it treats its comedy, family, and romance elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "The Uproarious Movie From The Big Best-Seller!" — captures that tone perfectly.
