Led by Travis Fimmel and Ben Mendelsohn, the film balances spectacle with character. Below you'll find an honest look at the story, the people behind it, and whether it deserves a spot in your queue.
The premise of Needle, explained
At its core, Needle follows a story that unfolds like this: College student Ben inherits a curious old mechanical box that churns out voodoo dolls. When a shadowy figure starts using the box to murder Ben's friends, he must find the killer.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "Ten Suspects. Six Clues. One Killer." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
