Inside the story of Misbegotten
The narrative of Misbegotten unfolds like this: Impatient to have a child, an infertile couple seeks help at a sperm bank and are thrilled when the procedure works. But their joy is cut short after they discover the donor is a psychopath willing to kill anyone who stands between him and his baby.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "They wanted a baby. Science helped them... now the evil begins" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
