Mad God plot and story overview
At its core, Mad God follows a story that unfolds like this: A silent figure known as The Assassin travels through a nightmare underworld of tortured souls, ruined cities and wretched monstrosities forged from the primordial horrors of the unconscious mind of Phil Tippett, the world's preeminent stop-motion animator.
What sets it apart is how it treats its animation, fantasy, horror, and science fiction elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "A journey beyond your wildest nightmares." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
