Few romance and comedy titles spark as much curiosity as Luv. Below is a deep dive into what makes it worth your time. Rated 4.9/10 from 17 viewers, it lands as a divisive entry in the genre. Below you'll find an honest look at the story, the people behind it, and whether it deserves a spot in your queue.
Inside the story of Luv
At its core, Luv follows a story that unfolds like this: Depressed by the direction his life is taking, Harry decides to take his own life by jumping off the Manhattan Bridge. At the last minute he's stopped by old friend Milt Manville, a successful stock broker. Milt, however, is facing his own problem: he has fallen out of love with his argumentative wife, Ellen. In a misguided effort to solve both of their problems, he introduces Ellen to Harry, hoping the two will fall in love.
What sets it apart is how it treats its romance and comedy elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "LUV is fun ... try and make it!" — captures that tone perfectly.
