Limbo plot and story overview
The narrative of Limbo unfolds like this: An offbeat observation of refugees waiting to be granted asylum on a fictional remote Scottish island. It focuses on Omar, a young Syrian musician who is burdened by the weight of his grandfather’s oud, which he has carried all the way from his homeland.
What sets it apart is how it treats its drama and comedy elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Waiting is a group effort." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
