If Grandmaster is on your watchlist, here is the complete breakdown — plot, cast, ratings, and where to stream it in HD. Led by Mohanlal and Priyamani, the film balances spectacle with character. Below you'll find an honest look at the story, the people behind it, and whether it deserves a spot in your queue.
Inside the story of Grandmaster
At its core, Grandmaster follows a story that unfolds like this: Chandrashekhar lives alone in a dark and violent city. Even with crime occurring all around him, he withdraws from all responsibility and lives quietly. Soon, change is forced upon him in order to catch a serial killer. Like a grandmaster who anticipates his opponents moves well in advance, he proceeds forward. But only once, just once, he makes a fatal mistake.
What sets it apart is how it treats its thriller and action elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Anything can happen before the next move" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
The people behind Grandmaster
Grandmaster is anchored by Mohanlal, Priyamani, Arjun Nandhakumar, and Babu Antony, working under the direction of B. Unnikrishnan. Casting is half the battle, and this ensemble pulls its weight.
