What is Frankenhooker about?
At its core, Frankenhooker follows a story that unfolds like this: A medical school dropout loses his fiancée in a tragic lawnmower incident and decides to bring her back to life. Unfortunately, he was only able to save her head, so he goes to the red light district in the city and lures prostitutes into a hotel room so he can collect body parts to reassemble her.
What sets it apart is how it treats its comedy, horror, and science fiction elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "A terrifying tale of sluts and bolts." — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
