Inside the story of Death Karate in Torremolinos
At its core, Death Karate in Torremolinos follows a story that unfolds like this: Dr. Malvedades intends to bring back Jocántaro, a Beast of the Apocalypse. To do this, he uses underwater ninja zombies to kidnap five women who had recently lost their virginity for human sacrifices. Jess, a Catholic surfer who has commited to remain chaste until he's 24, tries to rescue his girlfriend, one of the kidnapped girls, along with his friends.
What sets it apart is how it treats its action, horror, fantasy, and comedy elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Karate Zombies! Catholic surfers! Teenage Virgins! A filthy beast is about to wake up!" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
