Dead Stop plot and story overview
The narrative of Dead Stop unfolds like this: Jack the Ripper returns to wreak havoc on a small American town, and litters the neighborhood with a series of mutilated, eviscerated corpses. When he slays journalist J. Looker's girlfriend, Looker becomes the number one suspect and scapegoat - and must embark on a quest to clear his own name and bring the maniac to a bitter end.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "One wrong turn is all it takes" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
