Dastur: The Curse

Dastur: The Curse centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Single mother Gulzhan discovers that her daughter Dana has gone missing. Soon it becomes clear that the girl was abducted by elderly villagers and taken to an aul inhabited only by old people, where she is being prepared for an ancient ritual.

What sets it apart is how it treats its horror, crime, and mystery elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Old beliefs. New victim." — captures that tone perfectly.
