What is Dark Night of the Scarecrow about?
Dark Night of the Scarecrow centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Bubba, an intellectually disabled man, is falsely accused of attacking a young girl. Disguised as a scarecrow, he hides in a cornfield, only to be hunted down and shot by four vigilante men. After they are acquitted due to lack of evidence, the men find themselves being stalked one by one.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "The Original Classic" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
