The premise of City Heat, explained
The narrative of City Heat unfolds like this: Set in Kansas City in 1933, Eastwood plays a police lieutenant known simply by his last name, Speer. When Murphy's partner is slain they team up again to fight the mob.
The pacing rewards patient viewers, layering small details that pay off later.
