Few science fiction, action, and drama titles spark as much curiosity as Bride of the Incredible Hulk. Below is a deep dive into what makes it worth your time. Led by Bill Bixby and Jack Colvin, the film balances spectacle with character. Read on for the full plot overview, the cast and crew, critical reception, and answers to the questions fans ask most.
Bride of the Incredible Hulk plot and story overview
At its core, Bride of the Incredible Hulk follows a story that unfolds like this: In one of the saga's most emotional stories, David Banner travels to Hawaii to find Dr. Caroline Fields, a psychiatrist who has developed a hypnotherapy technique that could cure him. Discovering they share the burden of an incurable condition—Caroline suffers from a terminal illness—the two fall in love and marry, offering Banner a glimpse of happiness. However, tragedy looms when Jack McGee's relentless pursuit and a devastating hurricane threaten their brief moment of peace.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "She loved the man... would the beast destroy them?" — captures that tone perfectly.
