The premise of Abominable, explained
Abominable centers on a premise that unfolds like this: A research team embarks on a journey to obtain a plant that can advance medical research by centuries. While stumbling upon clues of the previous expedition, they discover that a Yeti creature lurks within the Himalayan mountains and will do anything to protect its terrain.
Rather than rushing, the film lets tension build naturally, trusting the audience to keep up. The tagline — "It wasn't supposed to exist" — captures that tone perfectly. For a frame-by-frame breakdown, the dedicated Wikipedia entry and IMDb trivia pages are excellent companions.
