The premise of A Bad Moms Christmas, explained
A Bad Moms Christmas centers on a premise that unfolds like this: Amy, Kiki and Carla – three under-appreciated and over-burdened women – rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for mothers: Christmas. And if creating a more perfect holiday for their families wasn’t hard enough, they have to do all of that while hosting and entertaining their own mothers.
What sets it apart is how it treats its comedy elements not as decoration but as the engine of the plot. The tagline — "Celebrate the holidays like a mother." — captures that tone perfectly.
